Why We Built This Site
Kansas gives the public broad access to many public records, but Bourbon County records are not held by one office. The Clerk of the District Court handles District Court case files, including criminal, civil, divorce, probate, and many traffic matters. The Bourbon County Clerk is the local Kansas Open Records Act contact for county-government records. The Sheriff's Office manages jail, roster, most-wanted, and law-enforcement channels. Fort Scott Municipal Court handles city ordinance and city traffic cases. We organize those separate contacts, portals, request steps, and limits in one local reference.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
